High Prairie

Located in Northern Alberta, and only twenty minutes away from Lesser Slave Lake, this town of approximately 3000 people has an abundance of activities to fill your day. Whether it is golfing, walking the trails, taking a swim in our large aquatic facility or visiting the museum, there are plenty of activities that can fill your day while visiting the town. Also, nearby are two Provincial Parks, Hilliard’s Bay and Winagami Lake. Hilliard’s Bay is great for camping and fishing and Wingami Lake is where you can find some excellent bird watching.

HIGH PRAIRIE & DISTRICT GOLF COURSE

Seven kilometers west of High Prairie sits the professionally designed High Prairie and District Golf Course. With Iroquois Creek meandering through its fairways, the course will intrigue both the seasoned golfer and the enthusiastic novice.  Golfers up to the challenge will find meticulously groomed fairways and outstanding greens. While the fairways are reasonably open and accepting of drives, the length of the course, the frequent winds, and the water hazards in play on six of the nine holes make this a demanding track.

Following their round, golfers should make time to relax in the spacious Spike Lounge. Their friendly and courteous staff offers a wide selection of food and beverage items. Give us a try! To book your round, call or drop by the pro shop. Club and cart rentals are available. We are confident you will enjoy the challenge and the scenery of our course at a very reasonable cost.
