Athabasca
Located 90 minutes north of Edmonton, Athabasca Country is ideal to come for the day or you can plan to stay for the weekend. There are more then 400 campsites in the region, with most located next to lakes with great beaches and fishing. Take some time to have a picnic at one of our bird-watching stands that are located throughout the region. Be sure to take in some of the high quality events taking place throughout the summer including the Magnificent River Rats Festival for Canada Day or the Whispering Hills Country Music Association Fiddling contest during the September long weekend. In 2008, we invite you to visit our new multiplex, in addition to the new splash park and skateboard park located on the historical riverfront where you can learn about our exciting past.
